ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: P16 Investigation 2.1 The Wumps - plot on graph paper (demo). Plotting the wump family (including "Plug" models the movement rules for points on a gcoordinate grid (1st quadrant only) NOTES: HOMEWORK: Page 22 #1

OBJECTIVE: 1.3.1 Understand the concept of similarity and its relationship to congruence. Describe the location of points on a coordinate grid in any of the four quadrants. ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Finishing the wumps and discuss the impact of the rules on the various end products. Discuss Coefficients and their relationship to size and the method used to move points. Students who are finished can begin on 2.2 (P18) Wump Noses. NOTES: HOMEWORK: Page 22 3 and 4 - use complete sentences
