10-16-2006 Math 2 bring a calculator
1. HOMEWORK Due today: None
2. Warm-Ups: Measure Drill (with sheet)
3. Test - open book and Notes

OBJECTIVE: 1.5.2 Apply understanding of linear patterns in a table, graph, or situation to develop a rule; 1.5.4 Apply understanding of equations, tables, and graphs to represent situations involving linear; relationships; 1.5.5 Understand and apply procedures to evaluate expressions and formulas considering order of operations 1.2.1 Analyze how a change in a linear dimension affects other linear measurements (perimeter, circumference) and area measurements. ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Students will take a test compiled for this class covering Tables, Graphs, Rules. NOTES: HOMEWORK: Decimal division problems

10-17-2006 Math 2
1. HOMEWORK Due today: : Decimal division problems
2. Warm-Ups: Measure Drill (with sheet)
3. Dot-to-dot creation

OBJECTIVE: 1.3.3 Understand the location of points on a coordinate grid in any of the four quadrants. ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Evaluationof process for solving 2-step equations. Students will enhance skills in 4 quadrant graphing by creating a dot to dot puzzle according to the posted guidelines. Students must complete 2 separate items - the picture and then a list of coordinates on a separate sheet. NOTES: Use the Shodor link to check. HOMEWORK: Finish Coordinate list on separate sheet

10-18-2006 Math 2
1. HOMEWORK Due today: Finish Coordinate list on separate sheet
2. Warm-Ups: Measure Drill (with sheet)
3. Reconstruct Dot to dot
4. Intoduce plotting equations Start 5.1 on page 62

OBJECTIVE: 1.3.3 Understand the location of points on a coordinate grid in any of the four quadrants. ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Students will reconstruct their dot-to-dot puzzles from a list of coordinates. Investigation 5 will involve plotting equations manually and on the computer - the primary emphasis will be to create tables from equations by substitution. NOTES: Use the Shodor link to check HOMEWORK: None
