1-8-2007 Math 2  bring a calculator
1. HOMEWORK Due today: Page 22 3 and 4
2. Warm-Ups: Equivalent Fractions
3. Collect Prob 2.1 Wumps/Questions
4. Pp18ff Problem 2.2 all

OBJECTIVE: 1.3.1 Understand the concept of similarity. 1.3.2 Apply understanding of the characteristics of rectangular prisms and circles 1.3.3 Understand the location of points on a coordinate grid in any of the four quadrants. 1.3.4 Understand and apply combinations of translations (slides) and reflections (flips) to two-dimensional figures. 1.1.4 Understand the concept of direct proportion. ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Complete exercise 2.2 which deals directly with scale factor and uses the term RATIO for the proportional aspect as well as the direct use of the term SCALE FACTOR. NOTES: Remember - The emphasis is on proportion. HOMEWORK: P23 #6

1-9-2007 Math 2  bring a calculator

1-10-2007 Math 2  bring a calculator
1. HOMEWORK Due today:P24 #9a/b/d/f (rectangle)
2. Warm-Ups: Equivalent Fractions
3. Page 21, Problem 2.3 'Hats' all

ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Students will apply various 'rules' (coefficients etc.) applied to the xy coordinates of the shapes and see the results. The use of similar coefficients will be show as 'scale factor' NOTES: Students might still be working on 2.2. Distribute Progress Reports. HOMEWORK: Page 24 #10

1. HOMEWORK Due today: None
2. Warm-Ups: Equivalent Fractions
3. Credit Retrieval
4. Alternate Game Character move

OBJECTIVE: Credit Retrieval; ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Students will be working on missing appropriate assignments. Alternate: On a sheet of graph paper, Design a video game character (emphasis on intersection points); Create a rule to enlarge/shrink and move the character. The RULE must be included. Point tables are not required. NOTES: Show model Graphic HOMEWORK: None
