1. HOMEWORK Due today: Page 45 #1
2. Warm-Ups: Measure Drills w/o sheets Measure Units Ladder
3. Page 41 Problem 4.1
4. P45 ff 1, 4, 7
OBJECTIVE: 1.4.1 Understand the concepts of complementary, independent, and mutually exclusive events 1.4.2 Understand and apply the procedures for determining the probabilities of multiple trials 1.2.1 Analyze how a change in a linear dimension affects other linear measurements (perimeter, circumference) and area measurements. 1.2.3 Understand how the unit of measure affects the precision of measurement ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Page 41 Problem 4.1 (uses did) analyses two stage games with two or more dependent (responding) events. P45 ff 1, 4, 7: (Problem 1a) Draw a square. Divide the square according to the paths listed. (b) in each of the resulting 6 rectangles, write the probability of ending up in that rectangle. (c) calculate the probability of ending up in Room a and Room b (total) (Problem 4a) Write the probability of ending up in each of the 7 rectangles. (b)Calculate the total probability for landing in room a and room b. Do part 4b. (Problem 7) Make the 3 tables of possible outcomes. Determine which possibility would be the best to win. NOTES: HOMEWORK: Pp46-47 #5 a/b/c
