Homework: Page 48 3-5
Page 44 Problem 4.3 all
OBJECTIVE: •To use the definition of similarity to recognize when figures are similar •To determine the scale factor between similar figures to find the lengths of corresponding sides[1.1.4] •To find a missing measurement in a pair of similar figures[1.1.4] •To use the relationship between scale factor and area to find the area of a figure that is similar to a figure of a known area[3.2.1] •To solve problems that involve scaling up and down[1.1.4] ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Measure Drill. Poster Rough Plan
OBJECTIVE: See 2-14 above. ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Measure Drill. Protractor Drill. Prepare a poster plan for your chaosen poster. This is a 3 person group assignment. Test Specification Project for GS03 (Symmetry, Congruence, and Similarity) Demonstrate an understanding of symmetry, congruence, and similarity (1.3.3 Understand symmetry, congruence, and similarity) NOTES: Must use the vocabulary words from the lessons with a context definition and/or example. This is a poster, the results must be mostly graphic. Keep text to 25 words or less (not counting the title part which will be provided - labels not counted for this.). Neatness and proper use of color is extremely important. Have a focal point. Be sure the observer can figure out everything from your poster. Items are to be assembled separately and placed on the final poster. HOMEWORK: Page 57 #27
