1. -Investigation #5 Final Exercise..

OBJECTIVE: •To build intuition that probability, or chance, has to do with events that are uncertain but that have a pattern of regularity over the long run •To determine relative frequencies from experimental data and use them to predict behavior over the long run[4.2.1] •To observe that small numbers of trials may produce wide variation in results •To display collected data in graphs or tallies and use them to find experimental probabilities •To recognize equally likely events ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Students will complete the investigation 5 assignment titled 'Movie' (this is an overhead) This is an independent assignment. Hand in when complete. Read pages 2 and 3 in 'How Likely Is It?' NOTES: Collect/Distribute text books. HOMEWORK: Flip a coin 30 times and keep a data table of the results.

   Simulated Experimental Coin-Toss Data
How many single coin tosses?
The results of the coin tosses will appear in a pop-up window. If you have pop-ups disabled, you might have to check to see if another window opened in the background.
