2. =Prob 7.1 all....
OBJECTIVE: #To use counting trees for finding theoretical
probabilities in binomial, or 50-50, probability situations
#To understand the distinction between specific outcomes and
events composed of a sequence of outcomes #To recognize that
simultaneous trials and trials conducted one at a time give the
same information #To use expected value to help make decisions
in probability situations ACTIVITIES: Finish problem 7.1

2. -P93 Unit Test...
OBJECTIVE: See 3-10 above. ACTIVITIES: P93 Unit Test NOTES:
HOMEWORK: Plan a project. Students are to create a brainstorm
plan on a game based on the hall tiles - i.e., what wins, how
much; how much to charge etc. List what They think needs to be
done to start a project.
The C-Wing hallway (home of the 7th Grade) is a long expanse of beige tone time
interspersed with a type of pattern of red. blue and yellow tiles. In addition, there is one tile which has a brass access cover on it. At either end is a door with a large rubber mat on the floor. The question to be resolved is whether a game of chance can be devised from the pattern of tiles and if so:
- how would it be played?
- how would it be scored?
- What would be the cost of a chance?
- what would be the prize(s) or payoff(s)?
- what would be the probability of winning?
- and what would be the expected value of each attempt?

1. -Brainstorm......
OBJECTIVE: Develop a project. ACTIVITIES: Students will
develop a project for tossing pennies down the hall. They are
to include theoretical and experimental probabilities and how
they hope to achieve their results. Will start with 4 groups.
Will need a final Report by Wednesday 3-19 NOTES: HOMEWORK: ?
