    OBJECTIVE:[#To use "out of 100" interpretation to develop an understanding of the concept of percent. #To think about representing $1.00 as 100 pennies and to relate this to the hundredths grid model as a way to visualize the percent of a dollar. #To use percents in estimating or computing taxes, tips and discounts.] ACTIVITIES: Page 7, Problem 1.2. Review the process for tax calculation; Instruct/demo the procedure fo calculating tips - specifically for a 15 % tip find 10% then 1/2 of ten percent - add. Encourage other solutions. NO CALCULATORS. Start on the P8 follow-up in class. NOTES: HOMEWORK: Page 8, Problem 1.2 follow-up 1-3 all
