OBJECTIVE: Find and compare experimental and theoretical probabilities. [1.4.1][1.4.2][1.4.3] ACTIVITIES: Do the mini-lab on page 500. Make a record sheet which counts the number of rolls and also records what the doubles were, i.e., double 2, double 6, etc. AFTER the mini lab is completed, continue adding to the data to answer the question: "How many rolls would it take to get a complete set of doubles, i.e. 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, etc. STUDENTS are to try to 1) Use the FCP tot calculate and 2) continue rolling/recording until the end of the class period. NOTES: HOMEWORK: Sumarize the data for the extended assignment.

OBJECTIVE: Solve problems by acting them out(13-4, Pp503ff)[5.1.2] ACTIVITIES: Review text 503 and have students design an investigation with spinners. They will then do their investrigation with the computer spinners as experimental data. Compare the experimental data with the theoretical data. NOTES:[Mid-Quarter Reports] HOMEWORK: Summarize the comparison of the theoretical and experimental data.
