OBJECTIVE: Determine what a proper fraction is: [1.1.1][4.1.2] ACTIVITIES: Make models of the following fractions according to the following guidelines: 1) All unit ones are to be the same size. 2) all fractional parts with the same name (denominator) must either be the same size or multiples of the same size. 3) the number of identical pieces required to make a unit must be equal to the name implied by the denominator.
