OBJECTIVE: Find the tangent of an angle and the measure of an
angle using the tangent (9-9, Pp365ff) ACTIVITIES: 1) pick an
angle between 0 and 90 degrees. 2) draw five(5) right triangles
that include the chosen angle and are different sizes.
Calculate the tangent ratio. Compare them. Use the table on
page 583 to check the angle. NOTES: HOMEWORK: P606 lesson

OBJECTIVE: Review tangent ratio; Find the sine and cosine of an
angle and find the measure of an angle using sine or cosine.
(9-10, Pp368ff) ACTIVITIES: Set up the ratios with a model
triangle. NOTES: [SIN COS TAN] 4-26-2000 1. HW Trig Poster...2. .................3. ................. 4. .................5. .................6. ................. OBJECTIVE: Do the Academic Skills Test; Introduce the percent proportion (is/of = %/100%)(10-1, Pp380ff) ACTIVITIES: Pp377-378 AST. Introduce the percentage proportion. (Bypass the text on this one) NOTES: HOMEWORK: Write a paragraph that describes what PERCENT means. (paragraph = minimum 5 sentences) 4-28-2000 1. HW % Prgrph......2. % proportion.....3. ................. 4. .................5. .................6. .................
OBJECTIVE: Express fractions as percents. Solve problems using
the percent proportion. (10-1, Pp380ff) ACTIVITIES: Intro and
problem sheet. Start in class - check on models and proceed to
drills - some on setup - some on solution. NOTES: [% Proportion Calculator]
